Dancing Under the Stars – Casey & Mike’s Vibrant San Juan Hills Golf Club Wedding
As a wedding photographer, some days feel like pure magic from the moment you pick up your camera—and Casey and Mike’s wedding was one of them.
Casey and Mike began their day getting ready separately, each surrounded by laughter, anticipation, and the people who know them best. We met in the charming Los Rios Street Historic District for their first look, with their wedding party and closest friends gathered to witness the moment. The cobblestone streets, historic buildings, and warm California light made the perfect backdrop for their portraits. You could feel the excitement radiating from both of them—it was one of those first looks that makes you tear up behind the lens.
Once all of the formal photos were done, we headed to their venue—San Juan Hills Golf Club—where the real celebration began. Their outdoor ceremony was a burst of joy and color, with bold hot pinks, vibrant oranges, and teal blues woven into every detail. Disco balls sparkled in the sunlight, reflecting their fun-loving personalities, and the aisle led to an arch that felt straight out of a dream.
Dinner was as unique as the couple themselves—guests enjoyed a variety of food stations, adding an interactive and personal touch to the evening. The whimsical heart-shaped wedding cake was a sweet nod to old-school romance, and it perfectly complemented the playful atmosphere.
Casey’s A-line gown with delicate, whimsical details and her flowing cathedral veil caught the breeze beautifully during golden hour portraits, while Mike looked effortlessly stylish in his blue suit. As the night went on, guests filled the dance floor under a canopy of stars, laughter and music floating through the warm summer air.
It was a day full of color, love, and joy—a perfect reflection of Casey and Mike. Photographing their wedding was a reminder of why I love what I do: capturing not just moments, but the energy, personality, and heart of each couple’s story.
